Ever wondered how your teeth would look after treatment? Now is your chance, with SmileView from Invisalign!

Invisalign® clear aligners:
Whitgift Dental is pleased to offer Invisalign® clear aligners which are designed to discreetly straighten teeth. Our private dental practice is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from East Croydon station.
There are several ways to straighten your teeth; Invisalign® clear aligners provide a modern approach to achieving the smile you have always wanted. We provide you with a custom-made series of aligners created just for you. The aligners are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the movements we planned out for you during your consultation with your dentist.
Invisalign® treatment can help to treat a variety of orthodontic concerns including teeth which are misaligned, crowded or to close gaps and because it is clear, removable and comfortable, it won't interfere with your day to day life.
The process:
Firstly a full examination is required to ensure your teeth are healthy enough to proceed. We will then need to evaluate your suitability and ensure you are fully informed of what the treatment will entail. Once this is established impressions and photographs will be taken of your teeth and sent off to the Invisalign® experts.
This will allow the Invisalign® team to produce a ClinCheck, this is a computer simulation which shows how your teeth will move during your treatment. This means you can see how your new smile will look before you even start the treatment. Once the ClinCheck has been approved by you and your dentist, we can then begin!
Your aligners will then be fitted 2-3 weeks after your ClinCheck, your dentist will provide you with a few sets at a time and ask you to change aligners every week or two depending on your treatment plan. We will ask to see you every 6-8 weeks depending on your progress.
The treatment typically lasts 3-18 months; your dentist will be able to give you a more accurate time frame.
Once you have finished all your aligners and are happy with the results you have achieved, we will need to provide you with a set of retainers (removable and fixed) to ensure that we keep your teeth in their desired position.
Composite bonding may also be required to resolve worn edges to achieve the desired result.
We also offer complimentary teeth whitening at the end of you treatment!

The Consultation
Once we have confirmed you're eligible for treatment, we will take photos, X-rays and digital scans, or a dental impressions of your teeth. These records will be used to create a ClinCheck® 3D treatment plan, just for you. Invisalign® are the only company that produces a computer image of your smile as it progresses through treatment before you even get your first aligner! You can view your Clincheck™ video at the practice and if you are happy your aligners will be put into production.

The Aligners
After being custom-made and shipped to us, you'll receive a series of aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average every 1-2 weeks. It is important to wear them during the day and night and for between 22- 24 hours each day to ensure the best results.

The Results
You'll visit us around every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and receive new aligners (don't worry it is usually a very quick appointment!). After finishing your treatment plan, retainers will be required to maintain your new smile.
